Today I'll bring to you some music that you might have not discovered yet. One of the groups/bands I want you to discover today is 'Story Of The Year' who were on the OST(original sound track) of One Tree Hill, a t.v serial with an acoustic version of their nice song 'Sidewalks'.


Story of the Year (a.k.a. Story or SOTY) is a band that was originally formed in St. Louis in 1995. Initially named Big Blue Monkey, they changed their name in 2002 to Story of the Year because a blues group had already taken the name Blue Monkey. So far, Story of the Year has released two full-length studio albums and their third release is due out in 2007.

Page Avenue-era (2002-2004)

After spending 7 years as a local band, recording demos and three EPs, Story of the Year signed a deal with Maverick Records in 2002, then recorded and released their first album, Page Avenue, in September 2003. The first single from that album was "Until The Day I Die", written by singer Dan Marsala. It first received radio airplay around July/August 2003 on stations like KROQ and sold thousands of copies worldwide.[citation needed] The second single "Anthem of Our Dying Day" featured a music video directed by Mr. Hahn of Linkin Park. Page Avenue has now sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. The single "And the Hero Will Drown" was featured on the soundtrack to the multi-format game Need for Speed: Underground. The band toured with Linkin Park on the Meteora World Tour in 2004 along with P.O.D. and Hoobastank. They were also on the Vans Warped Tour, and featured in the Vans Warped Tour documentary, Wake Up Screaming, and at KROQ's Weenie Roast on June 12 that same year.
Until the day I die was their first single which peaked at 13th position in US Charts.

Kelly Clarkson :comes back with a new single(which is damn hot), 'Never Again' which is the first single that is out from her new album 'My December' which will come out this summer 2007!

More news about this clip: Kelly Clarkson is talking about her break up with her boyfriend two years ago, David Hodges. David wrote a song in response to 'Never again' called 'Just a little girl' but Kelly is way better!



Moving on, Moving on. Out 2 months back, Umbrella from Rihanna featuring Jay-Z. Quite a good song. The clip is quite hot with Rihanna's new hair style and new choreographies. As I'm not a great fan of Rihanna I don't have much to say... So, enjoy the clip!


Beyoncé Knowles made some new clips from her album B'day. Some of them are: Greenlight(which was made in parallel with Beautiful Liar), Kitty Cat, Get Me Bodied, Upgrade You. Rumours has it that she will soon marry Jay-Z. Is it true? Only time'll tell us. Maybe she already married him but I can't pronounce myself clearly on the news!


Some French music now. Who hasn't heard of 'Double Je' from Christophe Willem?: This promising artist was the winner of 'A la recherche de la nouvelle star 2006', a French reality tv show. All fans have been waiting for his first cd which came out only in 2007. But the wait was good! It was worth it because the album is complete, and well worked on. 'Double Je' is everywhere, on french charts, on radios and on tvs! The first time anyone would hear that song, they would think of a girl or woman singin but it's Christophe! Hey there!!! Well as a fan of Christina Aguilera, I find it right to do some publicity!!!

So, as you all know , or maybe not, Christina is actually on tour named “ The Back To Basics Tour”, after her latest album Back to Basics… the tour has received extremely favorable reviews and outstanding ratings. -French Music!
Nolwenn Leroy, loreate of Star Academy 2, came in force in French Charts with over 2million albums sold. Her first album, debute album with title 'Nolwenn' featured singles that had success in the top50 of France charts. They included 'Cassé', 'Une femme cachée', 'Suivre une étoile' and many other nice songs. What was more interesting with her album was that it was proved by a known psychologist that was presenting a show that it helped people resting while listening to her powerful voice. There was a big audience and 50000 people bought the album(this show was in America). Her voice has virtues that help people with mental problems.
Nolwenn came out again this time with a second album which was accompanied by a book. Her album and book had the same name, 'Histoires Naturelles'. The album contained the anticipated single 'Nolwenn Ohwo!' that topped the chart for one week! But then was caught by other singers.


Charlotte Gainsbourg was originally an actress, a French actress. Now she sings and her songs are very relaxing. 5:55, an album to listen. Album contains tracks such as 'The songs that we sing', '5:55', 'Beauty Mark', 'Little Monsters' and my favorite, 'af607105'.

Here are some latest news on the musical world:

-Hilary Duff is back in brunette!
Her new album, "Dignity", will be available at the worldwide level during the weeks of March until early April. The album debut date for France had been confirmed for the 27th of March! It seems that she had left her Californian-teen pop-rock style to a more electro pop mature style approaching the musical world of the "confession on the dance floor" of Madonna. Her 1st exported single(confirmed for France) will be "with love", an electro pop hit advertising her new fragrance also named "with love...". Several radio hits had been taken from "Dignity" as "Play with fire" and "With Love" in the U.S. This album seems promising and, who knows?, it may be the comfirmation of "Metamorphosis'" success waited since her two last albums which didn't fulfilled the task.
Anyway Duff seems to be willing to show to us that she is really back in the musical wold and personally I'm glad because Duff rocks and if you listen to he new album you'll say so then!

P.S: Back in brunette because she is no more blond now giving more power to her comeback and sincerely I prefer her in Brunette!

Beyonce remained at the top of the Billboard 100 with her single Irreplaceable for several weeks. Beyonce is now at the 11th position.

Say It Right- Nelly Furtado
Her peak postion at the Billboard 100 was position 1, she couldnt move Beyonce from the first position at the start but after struggling hard, she did it! She's presently at the 6th position


We move a little out of Charts now.
That's news. The Pussycat Dolls group is no more(from what I heard, and I did not confirm it. So maybe it's just gossip) because Melody complained about Nicole singing too much on her own. Want a pic as souvenir of their good time?
